Prof. Partha Priya Dutta
Professor – Operations Management, IIM Calcutta
A Doctorate from Cranfield University, Prof. Partha Priya Dutta teaches Supply Chain Management and Operations Management at IIM Calcutta. He was awarded the James Cooper Memorial Cup 2007 for the best Ph.D. in Supply Chain by Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport, UK. His research interests lie in intelligent supply chains, supply chain resilience, operations strategy, etc. Prior to his stint with academics, he had worked on a British Aerospace and British Government funded project, “Support Service Solutions: Strategy and Transition (S4T)”, addressing the need for increased value generation from product-related services. Under his chairmanship, the PGPEX-VLM programme of IIM Calcutta won the prestigious JICA President’s Award of Excellence.
Prof. Peeyush Mehta
Professor – Operations Management, IIM Calcutta
Prior to joining IIM Calcutta in 2012, Dr. Mehta was a faculty in the Department of Industrial & Management Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur. After obtaining his Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Jodhpur University, he worked for three years in operations in the power sector. After obtaining his doctoral degree from the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad, he worked as a post-doctoral research acquaintance at the Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. Peeyush’s research interests are in the areas of operations strategy, supply chain coordination, supply contracts, manufacturing competitiveness, and game theory applications in operations. His research has appeared in several acclaimed international journals. He teaches courses on production and operations management, supply chain management, manufacturing management, strategic sourcing, vendor development, and service operations.
